Drone flying over water in clear sky

About Us

Kittyhawk Drones was founded by three people who share a passion for aviation and importantly we have very different backgrounds and experience.

We believe that the future of aviation and efficient utilisation of our airspace will require the safe integration of both remotely piloted and autonomous aircraft with their manned equivalents. We aim to prepare today’s drone operators for the demands of tomorrow’s operations, airspace and regulatory environment.

Our industry leading training courses will prepare you as a professional drone operator and offer opportunities to develop and enhance your skills as your experience grows.  We feel strongly that continuous development as a drone pilot is the secret to a successful business, underpinned by a strong safety ethos. We also offer individually tailored post-graduate training and our ‘Operator Support Packages’ for pilots who have already achieved their ‘PfCO’ from the CAA are designed to offer peace of mind that you will always be appraised of the latest developments in a fast-changing regulatory environment.

We also offer professional aerial photography and cinematography services and would be happy to discuss any requirement you may have that could be delivered by drone aerial imaging.  And if you have a particular requirement or question that isn’t covered by the detail on our website, then please feel free to get in touch – we love talking about flying and are always happy to help and give advice.

Marcus looks after the website and communications for the company. With a background in the aerospace sector and a masters degree in engineering, he has a keen interest in the exciting and rapidly developing drone industry.

Alistair is a commercial airline pilot and professional drone operator.  He started flying in the RAF and had a successful and varied career as a pilot and eventually became involved with unmanned aviation, working with the RAF’s Reaper capability and the Army’s Hermes 450.  On leaving the RAF he became an airline pilot and also the chief instructor at Whispercam – one of the first CAA approved drone training schools where he amassed a wealth of experience training and examining commercial drone pilots for their PfCOs.

Steven is a professional photographer and drone operator and has many years experience as a photographer and cinematographer.  He was one of the first UK commercial drone operators, gaining his PfCO from the CAA 5 years ago.  He has found that demand for his aerial imagery services has gone from strength to strength as his reputation increases.  He has worked for many well-known brands such as Barbour, Jaguar Land Rover and Royal Enfield Motorcycles.  He has also covered many prestigious events at Goodwood such as the Festival of Speed, Glorious Goodwood and the Goodwood Revival.
